Amistad Project and Voters Pushed for Emergency Relief in Court to Ensure Properly Cast Ballots are Counted
On November 2, 2020, the Amistad Project and voters in four battleground states (Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin) went to court with emergency filings to challenge the management of unattended ballot drop-boxes that posed a serious threat to properly and lawfully casted ballots via the comingling of the two. “Late ballots may spoil the properly cast ballots through comingling,” said Phill Kline, Director of the Amistad Project.
